About this role
A LITTLE ABOUT US incident.io http://incident.io is the AI software reliability platform trusted by engineering teams at Notion, Linear, Ramp and 2,000+ companies who can't afford downtime. The stakes are real, the talent is insane, and somehow it's a genuinely lovely place to work. We all pull our weight, go the extra mile, and put in the bit of magic most companies don't have time for, all while having fun and never taking ourselves too seriously. We've raised $100+ million from Index Ventures, Insight Partners, and Point Nine, and we're growing fast. There's never been a better time to join. THE ROLE IN ONE LINE We're looking for ridiculously smart, ambitious people who want to break into tech sales and the startup world. No experience needed. Just serious drive, great instincts, and a lot of ambition. WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE DAY TO DAY If you want to get into startups, this is your foot in the door. Sales is one of the best places to start. You'll learn how to win customers, how businesses grow, and what it takes to turn a startup into something huge. You'll be surrounded by insanely smart, ambitious people, with a front-row seat to how it all works. We're growing fast, and we want to get incident.io http://incident.io in front of every engineering team that should know about us. That's where you come in. We're not a BDR team that just sends out messages and hopes for a reply. We're picking up the phone, building relationships, dreaming up creative campaigns, sending gifts, and finding clever ways to get noticed by people who probably get hundreds of messages a week. You'll learn from some of the best sellers around, get loads of coaching, and have real ownership from day one. You'll get to try things, come up with your own ideas, make mistakes, and get good fast. And where you take it from there is up to you. BDR is an incredible starting point for a career in startups, whether you want to become a world-class seller, lead a team, move into another part of the business, or eventually build something of your own. WHO YOU ARE - You're ridiculously driven. You've got big ambitions, you work hard, and you're willing to do what it takes to get there. - You're seriously smart. You learn fast, ask great questions, and figure things out quickly. - You're great with people. You can talk to just about anyone, you're naturally curious, and people tend to like you. - You're competitive. You like winning, pushing yourself, and being around people who challenge you. - You don't give up easily. Things don't always go your way, but you're pretty good at picking yourself up and trying again. - You want to get better. You take feedback well, ask for help, and don't mind being told when you could have done something differently. - You make things happen. You don't need someone telling you what to do. You're resourceful, proactive, and find a way to get things done. We don't care what you studied or whether you've ever worked in sales or startups. We're looking for people with exceptional potential. Maybe you've built a business, played sport at a high level, worked in a busy restaurant, organised events, or done something completely unrelated that shows you've got serious drive. If you're hungry, ambitious, and want to throw yourself into the startup world, we want to hear from you. SUPPORTING YOU We work hard and we think life outside work matters just as much. Our benefits pack is built to support both. - Market-leading private medical insurance. The proper kind, so you're never weighing up your health against a bill. - Competitive PTO. Showing up at your best requires switching off, and we make sure you have time to do that. - First Friday of every month off. Yes, seriously. - Enhanced 401k. We put real money in, because future-you deserves better than an afterthought. - Meaningful equity. We're rapidly scaling, and everyone who helps shape the outcome should share in it. - Unlimited AI spend. For everyone, not just engineers. We're all-in on AI across the company, and we expect you to be too. - Generous parental leave. The early days with a new baby matter more than anything we're doing here, and we want you to be present for them. - Two budgets that have your back. $1000 to invest in your setup, $500 a year to invest in yourself.
